Models and Early Career
Though I started my career early on in high school I wasn't limited on either resources or ideas
Many shows were designed and worked on that never were fully constructed for a multitude for reasons. While these shows may have not seen the light of day, the passion for the project remained.
Model for Something's Afoot To match the comedic vibe of the show this set is designed to withhold many secrets to be revealed to the audience when the moment is right. The larger mansion interior runs completely from the Stage Right wall to the Stage Left wall, with the only way to get on or off the stage is by going through a door.
Initial Rendering for the Antigone Model The original sketch of the model's design was on a whiteboard so details could be erased and drawn over by new ideas as they appeared.
Model for Antigone Being given the challenge of placing Antigone in a new setting, the Wild West was chosen. Taking place in the round, the stationary set dressing either finds itself in the vomitorium or sparse throughout the acting area.
Model of Pipeline With the show consisting of mostly scene dressing such as chairs or tables, an hourglass has been placed over centerstage. With the timer starting as the play begins it's meant to add to the growing tension within the play. As the two main characters, Nya and Omari, feel as their time is running out, the hourglass helps represent this to the audience giving them something to be anxious about as well. As the climax of the show plays out, the hourglass will flip over again to show that they really do have more time then they believed.
Model for The Tempest To engulf the audience in the tropical environment of The Tempest, shrubbery is positioned around the acting area as well as the ceiling. The back wall is decorated with tree decal to blend in with the shrubbery as well. In addition two sliding doors with matching wooden decal are placed in front of the main entrance, this is meant to give the impression of the moving magical trees.
Pencil Rendering for The Government Inspector This design is for The Government Inspector. The central theme of the show focus' on the topic of wealth disparity, so to represent this a dual sided rotating stage was designed. Though one side was visibly poor and the other wealthy they were meant to be mirrors of each other to show that a poor man and a wealthy one are the same, the difference being what they were born into.

Dragon Head Construction Phase (Puffs 2021) With a fully functional jaw this Dragon Head made of Polystyrene Foam was used by a Dragon Operator with the intention of eating a dog during the Tri Wizard Tournament
Structural Support for Dragon (Puffs 2021) Created to give the Dragon fluid movements, these were made out of PVC Piping for the Dragon Operators to use during the show.
Finished Dragon (Puffs 2021) Decorated with a royal crimson and a black cloth to give the Dragon a more serpentine look. Additionally to match the comedic tone of the show the Dragon was given cartoonish features.
The Windmill (Oklahoma 2022) To match the rural country setting of the show the windmill was designed to appear both withered and standing tall.
The Windmill's Legs Constructed (Oklahoma 2022) In order to safely maintain its height four legs, as well as support beams were used. Pictured as well is me performing a stress test.
The Windmill Being Put Together (Oklahoma 2022) With the blade being attached to the main body we were able to get a good estimate on the true size of the windmill. All that was left was painting.
Blade of the Windmill Construction (Oklahoma 2022) Eight blades were placed in an almost perfect pattern, with some contradictions existing to show age. A hole was cut out of the center in order a PVC Pipe to be added so the Windmill could spin.
The Windmill Completed (Oklahoma 2022) Now fully furnished the Windmill stood at 18' and was show ready.
Model for Clue in Minecraft Due to the pandemic limiting in-person class time and intervening in a Technical Theater class, a new platform was used. After discussing features with a Director the game Minecraft ended up being a good substitute. With it's blocks equating to real measurements this set still follows a scale, with the addition to being able to walk around the set. Here lies the Main Room.
Model for Clue in Minecraft (The Kitchen) To work around the large Main Room both the Kitchen and Billiards Room were designed on the side of the Main Room, taking advantage of the trapezoid design to make room.
Model for Clue in Minecraft (The Billiards Room) Due to these scene making up much less time within the play they were given smaller rooms to give emphasis to the Main Room. Both Billiards and Kitchen have stairs that access the upstairs of the Main Room, giving actors multiple entrances and exits.
Rendering for Bar (All Shook Up 2021) With the bar needing to appear in two different scene with a different design in each, a folding cubical approach was used. The hanging wall could fold in and out with a break on both pivots to give support.
Finished Bar Interior (All Shook Up 2021) In order to show age and tear within the bar a sheet metal design was implemented. Though the vinyl's were added to show that it was still cared for.
